Biography

Petra was born in Germany and lived there for much of her childhood, moving between her home town of Schwaebisch Hall and West Vancouver.

When she was in Vancouver, she atteded West Bay Elementary and Hillside Secondary. After returning from Germany in Grade 11, she switched highschools and graduated from Sentinel Secondary in West Vancouver in 1984.

She went on to attend post Secondary Education at the University of British Columbia and obtained her degree in Creative Writing/Journalism. After working for a brief period of time at a local Newspaper she wrote her Real Estate exam in 1992 and has been a Realtor ever since. After all these years, Real Estate continues to be one of Petra's passions. She enjoys the legal aspect of the business and loves meeting new people. Her main goal is to always create a positive Real Estate experience for her clients.

In 2004 Petra also obtained her Interior Design degree and incorporates this skill in her Real Estate by including a staging package with her listings. This has proven to be a real asset to her clients and her sellers agree that their homes sell more quickly and for a higher price. (See Testimonials) The combination of Real Estate and Interior Design has proven to be a very successful partnership.

In 2010 Petra added one more service to her business with her transition company Seeing a real gap in the AFTER-SALES market she formed this subsidiary company, naming it Heartsong Interior Design - Precious Moments which helps people consolidate and liquidate their belonging as they move on to the next stage in their lives.

This service has proven especially helpful to people who are down-sizing and don't have friends and family close by to help with their move. Even when family members are available, they agree that having an objective person at hand to deal with their precious moments and belongings, has proven incredibly valuable. Petra has successfully incorporated this 'Triage" of services for her clients and therefore is not only able to help before and during the sale of your home but also once the property has successfully sold.
